| Description: |
Itea virginica ‘Henry’s Garnet’ (Virginia Sweetspire) is a tough, adaptable native shrub with great contrast from summer to fall. Fragrant long white flowers bloom in late June against green foliage; fall foliage is a striking red-purple that lasts well into winter. This Itea grows to 6’ with an 8’ spread and is best planted in slightly cool, moist sites, although it will tolerate dryer sites. Hardy in zones 5 to 9. |
