Description: Lagerstroemia indica ‘Whit III’ Pink Velour® is a proven-hardy Crape myrtle suitable for more northern gardens. One of the more colorful varieties, Pink Velour® parades flashy magenta-pink flower clusters atop shiny burgundy foliage in mid-summer. Pink Velour has been chosen for its cold tolerance and resistance to powdery mildew. Its relatively late bloom time justifies its place in the landscape. Plant as a specimen or near the foundation. Prune in late August or early spring. Grows 10’ H x 6’ W. Hardy in zones 6 to 9.
